Hmm. . . This was very informative to me.
I decided to search how to replace camera lens 3 months after my lens mysteriously came off without my knowledge.

Despite the warning on not to get dirt into the camera, I got a heck ton of dirt and other damaging things that would stop it from focusing.

Still seems to work very well, actually. The picture is fine, too. I just need the lens.

So it is lens or just glass?
My lens/glass is lost after i hit my phone. Now without this part, my camera can't make focus in distance, focus is good for something that's near the camera.

Is the camera damaged or i just need to replace the lens?

I never dropped my Note 5, but today I discovered the lenses smashed on the camera and it's in a recessed case so even if it did Falls it wouldn't hit anything. I'm absolutely baffled as to how this could have happened. It was in my pocket and there were no other objects in my pocket the only thing I can think of is that the seat belt on my truck might have put pressure on the case somehow and cracked the lens but I'm still baffled as to how this could happen after 4 years of ownership. Now the camera won't focus and I cannot use it to deposit checks with mobile application.

I took the glass off but there is some dust on the camera module. Not on the actual camera, but on the matte black part around it. How do I get that off? Can I use a microfiber cloth or will rubbing it break the camera?

I just installed my replacement (I purchased the same one from this video, however, my photos are still blurry. There are no glass shards as the previous protection seemed to have rubbed away. This phone is a replacement phone from insurance. I am not sure what went wrong. Any suggestions as to why this may have happened? Should I attempt to remove it and try again?
