you failed to mention to remove the battery cable as some other comments have suggested and now my backlight is burned out. The phone is in worse condition than before.

YOU MUST DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST!!! It’s videos like this that people who have no clue follow and end up damaging their devices. It’s as if this video is strategically put together to make people burnout their backlight fuse which then has to be sent out to a Micro Soldering Lab repair shop because Apple will not even touch it. It happened to me following one of these same videos when I was replacing a screen for my iPad. Shame on the editor of this video for posting this video. If this happens to you I found a repair shop that fixed my backlight fuse; many places that fix phones do not have the micro soldiering capability. @@salomeritchie did anything happened? thank god my battery was under 30% some say to keep battery below 30% before starting or disconnect it.

lmafo If you don't remove the battery cable before unplugging the flex cables attached to the digitizer 5/10 you will burn out your backlight. This video is very well put together but thats a very big point to skip.

i did not see this comment until after my iphone won't turn on. any ideas on how to fix the backlight or where to get it repaired?
Maybe that’s another reason they say to let your battery drain 30 percent
Is there a way to replace the flashlight of the back of the phone because I have an issue with my flashers it is not coming on if there is please leave the link to the video so I can take a look at it thanks

Before starting step 4 I would suggest removing the battery connector first. This will take all of the power off of the phone's motherboard and other circuit boards and eliminate the possibility of shorting something out.
I think I've just f...ed my iPhone. I followed the steps but not disconnected the battery and now it doesn't restart.
