Why do these gadget repair websites show video of a phone they do not even carry parts for? What is the thought process that these sites go through when they post a teardown and screen replacement video when the parts are not available? At some point does not someone on staff ask the question of "WHY". Why post a video of a process that no consumer can possible use, because the parts are just not there. And the few I found were more expensive than the phone. The simple answer is to trick people who are looking for a repair option into clicking on the link for their site. And artificially driving up traffic to their site. You get a big thumbs down for this.
And way too much work, you're right, might as well buy a new phone.
