Hi all, i have tried windows 7 and its very jittery and unplayable. how about non-steam games ? like fifa can you just put the game into steam and stream it ?

Hi Lon. Steam streaming, say BL2 or Bioshock2 from a decent i7 PC to this stutters using ubuntu 15.10. Any ideas if I need a better prop. driver (and where to source this) or are there BIOS settings to change? What amount of ram did you assign to the gpu please?...or any other ideas. I'm on a gigabit LAN using rj45. Cheers.

would this brix be good for performing Backups of network drives or would you choose a more powerfull brix

A brief question, have you ever attempted to use this as a streaming machine. I have been searching and have not found a single test of this with something like OBS or X-Split. I wanted to see if it would be a viable option as a convenient streaming PC.

I have a couple of questions on this box. Firstly, in your video you get around 30-50 fps in those games, is the bottleneck the brix or your laptop. I'd like to get one of these but would like to have it pushing around 60fps if possible. Secondly do you think it makes a lot of difference what the detail of the game is as to what the brix can do? It shouldn't in theory as it's just a 1080p stream and no rendering.

I'm torn between this and its slightly beefier, J1900 powered, non-fanless brother.

what OS did you have on the Brix at the time?

im only planning to buy a mini pc only for school, and use it for tv to watch hd movies. if you are planning to buy this for games, you are making a big mistake.

My PC has 1 RJ45 port - the Brix has 1 RJ45 port,.. how would I connect this via wire, (as opposed to wireless), so I could use it to stream live game play, (over the interwebz), from a graphically intensive game such as Dirt Rally, (the new game by Codemasters)? Tips, ideas welcome, thanks. :)

Just so you know, my current PC has a Radeon 5850 which won't run the new game particularly well, so I'm holding out for a possible cheaper solution to buying a newer, more powerful PSU, (such as a Corsair 860w or even a 1000w), and a better GFX card, (such as a radeon 290).

Just got my Gigabyte Brix 2807 in the mail and was wondering...When you got your Brix did you flash the BIOS to what was the current version? And would you recommend flashing the BIOS before or after OS install?
