Build it yourself price - On the day I published this video, all the parts to build this yourself were just under $800 - Prices of course vary over time and you don't have to include everything yourself if you don't want or need it all, however this PC, as configured, will cost more than $720 to buy the parts for, not counting the time to build it.

Ryzen 5 - Yes, Ryzen 5 would make another great CPU at this price point (R5 1400 probably), however don't expect to see those until the summer. When they arrive, I'll take a look at what the deals are and make a video if they are worth buying.

This was the video that got me into PC gaming. I bought this PC and it was my first PC gaming experience, since then I've upgraded every single component, so it's sadly been Ship-of-Theseus'd out of existence.

2023, bought this from a friend and was doing upgrades, this is the only source of finding the power supply I can find other than ripping the case off.

crazy how you can make this build for like $200 now

I actually got this machine for $500 in 2016 as part of a VR bundle. I'm still using it in 2021. I've upgraded to an SSD, upgraded power supply (mine was an off brand, not thermaltake), RAM, upgraded to an i7 7700K, replaced the cooler, and replaced the case fans. The only thing left original is the graphics card, mobo, and case. This gfx card and mobo do have a serious power problem. The card sometimes draws too much power from the PCIe lane and causes crashes. I wish I could replace the GPU and mobo but I don't want to spend the price of a car to do it. Hoping they hang in there for another 4 years until the shortage is over.

could you let me know the exact power supply for this?

I’ve had this computer since I saw this review. I’m definitely ready to upgrade the cpu. War zone seems to be taxing it a bit to much. Do you have a suggestion for the upgrade? Also wanting to upgrade the rx480. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

What kind of GPU upgrade can you do for this system ?(sorry I know this is a old video but I actually bought it 3 years ago after watching this and now it’s about time to do some upgrades on it)

Nearly two years later this is still the best money I've ever spent on anything. Only thing I've upgraded is the RAM.

I bought this PC and straight out the box it has been lagging on games where it shouldn't be. It can't even run World of Warcraft on low for more than 20fps. Help? I bought this because you recommended it but its not good at all.
