would you recommend this in 2023 as entry ?

If you don't like it, it doesn't mean is ugly. Not everyone has a good taste. The case looks really good.

My one has a 980 in can I upgrade it to anything above?

And i upgraded my G20CB with GTX 1080, 6700K CPU with 4.0GHZ base clock, 32GB Memory, M2 SSD and more like watercooled it.A funny little thing who beats much other.Regarding other tests of this computer its more quiet than many others.

Anyone else with the rog g20aj swap there motherboard with a g8 one?

That "ugly design" is supposed too lower the sound the comes out of the case the corners are for that..

I have one and its good, glad I was able to get the price down another 100 with some coupons and rewards stuff, so I cant complain but I guess I need to start saving money cause I cant modify it.

Just because you like bland and boring doesn't mean everyone does ! Be a lot more objective in reviewing looks as they don't matter to performance , after all taste is very subjective .

is the psu really only 230w?

Something i noticed with Asus, why all the "upgraded" stuffs from them look more bland and weeker in design that the first product. Asus G751 was bulky but amazing with it`s huge exhausts, g752 returned to the slick design loosing it`s great cooling, here it`s a badly redesigned G20, smaller exhausts, no drive, less flashy, louder...

this is a horrible option just for the fact you cant upgrade, build your own pc kids
