Good concise review, better than most 'expert' reviews. I'm concerned about the noisy fan, others have mentioned it too. I don't do any heavy editing like video stuff but I do lots of photo editing, am I likely to hear that fan kicking in regularly? Other than that I just do basic everyday computing, I'm assuming the fan won't be kicking in for that right?

I don't get the point of such devices. It's designed for multiple monitor workstations with high performance and reliability. It's in the $2000 price range. Why is desk space even an issue? What office do you work in where you have a desk and dual monitors but can't find space for even a mini-tower?I understand a mini-PC in a media setup -- where integrated graphics are fine and the cost is so low you are only paying a few bucks for the extra-small size. However, when you are in the $2000 range, you are paying considerably more for a machine which is now making trade-off after trade-off on more important things to a workstation. No RAID option, no option to upgrade the GPU, use multiple GPUs, install add-on cards, etc. If space really was that large of an issue, the extra $500 over any other mini-tower could easily be spent on a custom desk to hide the tower or running wires/dock to hide the PC behind a wall or closet.

Sweet. Only thing I would complain is no 64GB ECC support, no raid1 options. And big external power supply. I would prefer AMD GPU, for better Linux support.

Size, thermals and number of connectivity ports, USBs, and display ports is excellent. Even price is good.

do you think this could handle UE4? or would the hades canyon nuc be better?

is it good for editing in 4k?

Hi ! Thanks man for this awesome video ! Question : so there was no problems with 4K editing? I don’t care about time, when I export, just about frame drop when editing or viewing in adobe or da Vinci , I use 4K 10 bit 100-200mb quality videos from gh5.
I will be extremely happy if you can say what you think.
