Please perform updates via Windows and HP Support Assistant as mentioned below to fix this issue: Step 1 Windows Updates - 1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates. 2) Check for updates. 3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates - 1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant. 2) Check for updates. 3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

@@HPSupport I should probably clarify. My computer is stuck in a boot loop. I can't even get any type of display

Please perform recovery as mentioned here to fix the issue.
1. Shutdown the computer.
2. Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3. Press F11 once for System Recovery.
4. Choose the Keyboard Layout.
5. Click on Troubleshoot.
6. Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Recovery.
Note : Back-up all your data as System Recovery will delete everything that you had saved or installed on the computer.

Why can't HP give a clear statement on which M.2 can be used to upgrade?

I checked all user guides and everywhere on Google, I even opened my desktop and there were no length measurements for the m.2. However, Crucial's tool for memory scanner has them for my HP Omen 880-010z CTO to be at 22 by 80. Use the Crucial tool to check out the length of your specific model number.
