Hello, where could I purchase extra bracketsike these. My use case is to have a drive with seldom played games on them and then swap it out easily instead of having to mount them each time. Thank you for your response.

The screws seem to protrude beyond the face plate making it difficult to slide in and out. Once in the drive doesn't show up on my pc? Do I have to configure it somehow.

Hi HP,
I want to replace these two external 3.5inch HDDs with 2.5inch SSDs. Is this possible? Which SSDs would you recommend?
My PC: HP Omen 880-106ng
Thank you for your help.

+GöttlicherOreo HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.

Hi HP,
Thanks for your help.
Well the warranty ist already expired. I wanted to know If i can put in 2.5 Inch SSDs with brackets in these external Slots (build for 3.5 hard-drives) before I buy some.
Maybe HP has some kind of Kits for these Omen 880 cases because 3.5inch SSDs are hard to come by.
Thank you in advance

No screws in the bays of my omen 880. I guess they're 6/32 (3/16") standard screws, because HP not only does not include them but also tells nothing about it.

I am a little confused. The video says external hard drive but the HD is going into the computer so shouldn't I buy an internal hard drive? Is there a difference between the two other than the fact that one is outside the computer and the other is inside the computer.
- @AssassinYMZ
- 3 July 2020 in 06:19
Another thing I want to mention is there any difference in performance or will something bad happen to my computer if I get a hd with 5400 RPM when the specifications says that the HD should be 7200?

Hello! I am running into a slight issue. I would like to make use of the external hard drive ports on my OMEN 880t, but I am in the market for an SSD instead of an HDD. Most of the SSD models I have come across are all 2.5", which is where my issue lies, as I cannot put a 2.5" SSD into a 3.5" external hard drive port. Has anyone else had this problem, and what solutions might be feasible? Thank you!
