I accidentaly broke one of the latches trying to open the sides. It wasnt coming open and i thought i just needed to use more force. The actuall latch is still on on but its loose and wobbly. Is this fixibal and how do i open the side?

You didn't even take the time to talk about the very little important detail before opening the door because it is locked. It needs to be unlocked before you can push the handle up to open the door.

Not that I didn't take the time, perhaps the case had been updated (this video is 4 years old) at 15:47 I talk about how I opened the case, and that it was tooless. There was only a latch, which I mention at that time.... I can't make an update on something I don't have or have no knowledge of, I reported on what they sent me..... 4 years ago.

Thanks, for showing how to open up my pc like yours. I totally forgot!
Hmm somehow, it’s hard to open, and can’t open it easily. Anyone knows how to do this? Or just apply little more force?
Oh I just found out to unscrew the top, near the hedges and then switch the switch.
Now you can open it easily.

Can the area 51 hold three of the new rtx cards in sli ?
- @ThisBytesForYou
- 6 May 2019 in 11:32
no officially on their website but maybe if you gave them a call
- @techbuildspcs
- 7 August 2019 in 05:09
If they could hold the old ones they can def would the news ones although I'm quite sure rtx is only two way SLI now. And SLI is dying so just go for a 2080 super 2080ti or 5700xt for 1080ti like performance

Why is not a fan in the middle?
- @ThisBytesForYou
- 30 April 2019 in 11:56
Do you mean over the cards blowing air on the cars or in front, because there is one in the front blowing in between the cards.

their is no way that is not overheating the gpuS. if you fixed that problem . how did you do it? currently having that issue with 2 cards in sli

during all of my testing, this never overheated was always relatively cool, you are more than welcomed to check out the full review: https://www.dragonblogger.com/review-of-the-alienware-area51-r2/ and within the review I provide thermal testing as well.
If you have this machine on the carpet, or in a cabinet, take it out of there, put it up on the table, and do not block the exhaust or intakes, that will 100% kill your machine and also clean it out when you can, do it least every 6 months if not more. If the fans are clogged, it cannot cool, try breathing through a pillow for an hour, it is difficult.

@@ThisBytesForYou Hi, I have had this system for 3 years now with 3 Titan X cards and it has never over heated. I just opened it to check for dust and it is clean! I have the unit on a roller cart which keeps it off the floor.
- @ThisBytesForYou
- 27 October 2018 in 03:20
Peterson Family Peterson Family you're doing it right then, keep it off of the floor, don't keep it in a cabinet, let some air get to it and you are gold. Saul I would assume has it on the floor or in a cabinet as he has not responded.

should I just upgrade my dell or build an entirely new pc?

- 11 October 2018 in 04:14
Hello my friend, glad to have you come by.... but you are going to have to give me a lot more detail, what exactly are you asking for help on, how to build it or what parts to chose and if it is what parts to chose, let me know your budget and I will see what I can come up with. Aside from that, I have tons of videos here that can teach you how to build your computer too.

I maxed out my same model you have. Cost me a total of $5000. It almost feels like a waste. I also want to take out the components to put it in a less bulky case
- @ThisBytesForYou
- 20 September 2018 in 01:54
so do you want to build it yourself, or do you want Alienware to build it? Remember, as I mentioned in the machine, back when I filmed it (2 years ago) the cost was only about $415.89 lower than building it yourself, this is no including shipping of each individual part, which could have ended up either even or a few dollars less. Factor in the cost of labor and time building the machine, electricity, warranty, support and the Alienware brand the machine was VERY cheap. You can check out my review here, but if you want, I can individualize all the parts for you so you can check it out on amazon and see what it would cost you, just let me know what parts you chose: https://www.dragonblogger.com/review-of-the-alienware-area51-r2/

haha quote...'the aio sucks hot air out....think about that for a sec...must really help thermals...
- @ThisBytesForYou
- 26 August 2018 in 11:34
right, I have had that config many times, its not always a bad thing and in one of my configs it actually improve thermals, that depends highly on how high the unit if overclocked, if its overclocked hardcore it would be horrible, but this had a moderate overclock... so it would not have been a bad thing. Sadly, I did not have a very long time to test it to reverse it to see which would have been better., You can check the review to see how it performed: https://www.dragonblogger.com/review-of-the-alienware-area51-r2/

the aio pictured looks a lot like the gamerstorm maelstrom...i had one on an o'ced i7 920 and it lasted about 2-3 months before the pump siezed...horrible bloody thing.i upgraded to the gamerstorm captain 240mm white.its a major improvement.it sits on around 27 degrees @4.7ghz and wont go over 80-85 degrees at full load.did you check my system out?what do you think?
